KIEL, 19th September 2019 – The 6th MINT Software Systems User Conference, this time held in Memphis, Tennessee, from September 2nd to September 6th, exceeded all expectations and proved to be the biggest UCON yet. MINT started the tradition of organizing their user conferences back in 2009. More than 115 attendees from 26 customer airlines and training organizations came to the hometown of Blues and Rock ‘n’ Roll from all over the globe and made the exclusive event a great success.
“The MINT Software Systems User Conference is meant to be a customer-driven event. We provide a framework for two conference days with presentations from both MINT experts and MINT customers. During these presentations, we highlight upcoming new, exciting software functionality on our product roadmap, and invite our customers to share user experiences by presenting their specific MINT use cases to the audience,” said Frank Vieira Hugger, Director of Sales and Marketing at MINT Software Systems. “Two additional days with hands-on workshops led by our MINT software experts round up the event and allow participants to deep dive into specific areas of the software. MINT also provided some after-work entertainment during that week.
“We organized our traditional UCON evening event, where our customers can meet fellow users and MINT experts in more casual surroundings. This time we went to the famous Lafayette Music Room in downtown Memphis, which was great fun,” Frank Hugger explained. “We’ve been organizing our User Conferences for ten years now, and the 2019 edition was our biggest event ever. MINT UCON has proven to be a marketplace for ideas and information exchange all set around the challenges aviation training organizations are facing today. Our product, the MINT TMS Training & Qualification Management System, supports our customers to operate under EBT, AQP or ATQP data-driven training programs. Naturally, a lot of the discussions between our customers and our software experts were focussing on these issues,” said Christian Popp, Chief Customer Officer at MINT Software Systems. “This is exactly what we had in mind when we created our first UCON: to provide a platform for our customers to learn from each other and discuss how they, with the help of our software, can make their qualification and training management more efficient. The ultimate result is to make airline travel safer,” he added.
The MINT marketing team organized UCON 2019 with the support of MINT’s long-term customer FedEx Express, who offered their “FedEx Experience Center” and flight training facilities as the event location. More than 115 participants of 26 MINT customers attended the event and used the opportunity to learn, network and exchange user experiences with fellow MINT users. The next MINT User Conference will take place in 2021.
The exact location is still to be announced.
